Benefits of going to Miami, Duke, or Emory over UT Chattanooga for DPT?

I have already been accepted at UT Chattanooga. It is a well-respected school, and is by far the cheapest of all my potential school options. I have also been accepted at Miami, and have interviews coming up at Emory and Duke. What about a program like Miami, Emory or Duke would make it worth turning down the much cheaper, yet still well-respected program of UT Chattanooga, and taking on the massive amount of debt that would come with attending Miami, Emory, or Duke?

It would depend on what you are looking for. I can't speak for Duke or Miami, but at Emory, there are opportunities to take classes in the MPH and Business schools as electives, which helps open up your options and helps you understand how other htings like business are affecting healthcare. Emory also allows you to apply for a Dual degree DPT/MBA or DPT/MPH, which are unique to its program (don't think other places i've seen have this option). So it all depends on what you are looking for, personally.

Hey you might want to read some of these threads as this has been asked to death on here.

Anyway general consensus among every PT i've ever talked to about school choices is to go to the least expensive school as long as it's accredited and has a good pass rate. Good luck with your choice.

AGREE with Kingsandmen What did you decide?

Haven't decided yet. I have an interview at Duke on Jan. 9 and an interview at Emory on Jan. 27th. Depending on what they say, and what, if any, possible tuition reductions, scholarships, etc. Duke and Emory would be willing to give me, I will sit down with my family and evaluate the entire situation, and come to a decision hopefully by the beginning of March.
