Has anyone used this and is it any good? Thinking of ordering this.
why only psychology and no sociology though?
The last two chapters are a combination of sociology and social psychology. I'm still not sure why they omitted sociology from the title, but I assume it was because the primary author fashions himself as a psychology expert. In all honesty, I'm still not sure where one ends and the other begins in that they cover many of the same concepts and experiments.

Hello Mr. Berkeley Review Teach. Does this mean that a separate sociology book will not be released?
Okay so I dont know if I'm not understanding @BerkReviewTeach correctly or if there is miscommunication going on. In the Preface of the book it states"A companion volume will introduce students specifically to the social science subjects". Meaning this book has little to No sociology, skimming through the book I did not find enough material to recommend it to be used as the sole source to prepare you for this section . So I think they left off the Sociology part because putting it on there would be false advertising .. I am a little bummed, for the money the book cost I expected it to have sociology as well but that's on me for not looking carefully enough . I love this company and its books so I will make the best of it and I am sure this might be the best psychology prep out there. Just wanted to clear things up .. So if you want the best bang for your buck I would get TPR or something else that gives you both the subjects .. But Im a TBR fanboy so I will use this and supplement it with something elsewhy only psychology and no sociology though?

Do you have any idea as to when the sociology and/or revised psychology version will be released?Admittedly, I'm out of the loop in this particular book development. I know for sure that the sociology was not fully done in time for the past summer course and that the best passages were put into the exams and class handouts. If the psychology book states that "a companion volume" is on the way, then my best guess is that they put as much of sociology as they could into the two chapters that overlap with psychology for now and will likely revise the psychology book when the sociology book is ready to go.
More than enough I wouldnt say that. I saw a few persons say they only used that and did well but the large consensus is getting TPR and combining it with Khan for maximum success!I just ordered the main sets from TBR without the psych/socio stuff. I've heard the Khan Academy stuff is very good and more than enough for that section. Can anyone verify that?
