i am totally confused by applications of bernoulis equation, especially with the flow of fluids in pipes. does anyone know of a good animation?

also, why does high velocity mean low pressure?

P + 1/2pv^2 + pgh = P + 1/2pv^2 + pgh

if we increase velocity (v^2) then pressure is necessarily (and mathematically) decreased to hold the above equation constant.

in essence, the high pressure low velocity phenomena is why roofs blow off houses during tornadoes and why motorcyclist's shirts poof out when they ride.
