Hey to those who have taken part I, what's the best way to go about studying for Biochem in a relatively short amount of time you think? Just decks... or should I use Kaplan or what? I've read on here several times that USMLE First Aid Biochem is good too.. any suggestions from those who have endured this awful experience? thanks!

You can do it from USMLE notes and use Lippincott for something that is too difficult. Also use First Aid. That worked for me.

But do you think what's given in First Aid is sufficient?'Coz compared to what's in lippincot and the others there is way too little stuff.Or maybe that's enough as you said.

Only First Aid is not sufficient. First Aid should be only used to review last minute during the last few days of preparation.

Okay.. thanks for the help! Toothfairy482, how did First Aid work for Pathology? It seems almost identical to decks to me? Thanks for the help

Also, anyone that can comment on Kaplan's biochem?

hye even i was searching for the some good material for biochem....

guys.. if i do decks very thorough.. will tht be enough or just decks is not enough?? i mean some things whihc i dont understand .. i refer kaplan..

any advice please..

Hi, sorry also forgot to mention to be very very very thorough with decks =)
I feel FA helped me a lot, especially when I didnt feel like studdying I would open it and start going through it, so i think it is a good investment.
Kaplan biochem is NOT sufficient is some areas and other areas they are TOO detailed. I would not trust it, instaed do USMLE.
No one source for biochem is enough, you need to combine diff sources to get an overall coverage.

hey guys iam studyin from nbde first aid and decks only !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well if ur gona buy a book for each subject ull be done studyin in 2-3 yrs from now ,,,any way all my friends who made the exam ,they said :IF U JUST KNOW UR DECKS VERY VERY GOOD and the nbde first aid ull be good to go and scoreing high !!!

anyone share this with me !!

hello,
kaplan is best but for long peroid
decks deficient but may be good to pass for shoet peroid
no idea on USMLE

USMLE notes for biochem are just awesome. If you really wanted to you can do Biochem from USMLE in one week....Before I studied USMLE i HATED biochem and then i read it from USMLE and actually found it tolerable (read-interesting)....also, do collagen from Lippincott (read where each step happens and order). To revise it make sure you make notes of what you always seem to forget (hint- enzymes) AND how each enzyme connect w/ any other cycle....just knowing the meaning of DEaminase, ISOmerase, LIgase...makes things SO MUCH EASIER! Good luck!
