Hi guys, I am starting my first ophtho rotation next week on Monday. I wanted to get the residents recommendations of what the best book is to use on rotations. So far, I was recommended to use the website ophthobook.com, but if there are any other recommendations, I would appreciate it.

Thanks again

I found Will's Eye Manual really good.

Try practical ophthalmology. Some haters on this site will disagree I promise, but the most impressive med student is the one who knows how to complete the ophthalmic exam. Practical ophthalmology is written at an appropriate level and is a solid start.

Thanks guy, will def look into those.

Have you guys heard of AAO Ophthalmology for Medical students? or did I just make that up?

Basic Ophthalmology is okay for very basic information similar to that on Ophthobook, but [practical ophthalmology](http://www.amazon.com/Practical-Ophthalmology-Beginning-Residents-Edition/dp/156055987X) will be a lot more useful to you in that it contains instructions on various exam techniques and other practical pointers that will make you look competent and proficient in clinic. Reading a few sections helped me feel a lot less like I was fumbling around during the slit lamp exam on my electives.
