Hey guys,

What materials/books/prep did you use to study for the GRE. I am pre-PA and I need to get the GREs done and out of the way so I can apply this year.

I just bought the ARCO book, and I also got the math workbook from Kaplan, and the flashcards. I'm going to get the verbal book later. I just hope that it's enough.

Arco's "30 days to the GRE" was a great resource. "10 days to Acing the GRE" by Princeton (or was it Stanford) Review was great. They were both skinny little books that had the mosr benefit to me...
 
Barrons GRE Prep books were the best hands down...... espcially if you need some refresher work in the quantitative area.....it also has a 3,000 word vocabulary section which is WORLDS better than Kaplans 300 word section.... also the teaching is more in depth with Barrons than Kaplan....just put the books side by side and check out the different sections.......😳
 
By the way, I went from a V-500 and Q-360 using Kaplans to a V-620 and Q-680 the second time I took the GRE, just using Barrons....It helped me understand that dumb mess I was forgetting in the Quantitative sec......

I thought Barrons was supposed to be bad. People told me to stay away from those materials...

Who told you that lie?......They probably didnt want the competition from you doing well on the GRE........
