I was wondering which operating system had more medically relative applications?

Which operating system, or device, would be more beneficial to physicians?

Simpy the one which they prefer most?

The app industry tends to be more developed around the iOS system since Apple was a pioneer in that field but since then, Android has actually caught up quite a bit. The thing with Apple is that they tightly control which apps can be downloaded and used on their devices, so they have greater quality control but fewer overall apps that way. But almost everything I can think of is available on iOS, i.e. there's nothing available only on Android and not on iOS that I use.

why would you need medically relevant things on your phone as a premed... lol

by the time you are a physician you would have a new phone

The flexibility I had with Android was so much nicer. I switched to iPhone because I liked the look of the iPhone X but I don't care for the OS at all. I'll probably end up switching back at the next Galaxy update.

Both OS’ will give you what you need. I also don’t agree with someone who said Macs are for children. I use windows, Mac and Linux when appropriate. Btw Hollywood and music industry are all mostly macs.

After 5+ years with Android (Samsung Galaxy S4-8), and having recently switched to iOS... I’m going to have to say that—for me personally—Apple takes the win.

I’ve had this phone (7 plus) for only a month, and the difference, while not staggering, is noticeable. There is a certain intangible quality to Apple’s devices; The OS is buttery smooth, apps are beautiful, and the lack of fragmentation that plagues Google is wonderful. And the little things, Apple does exceedingly better than Android. If there’s one thing that Android handles better than iOS, it’s notifications, but that’s a one update fix (if they decide to change it, that is).

Android perhaps has more functionality. But in reality, I in fact don’t want to spend more time on my phone: I want my apps to work well, my calls to be clear, the UI to be intuitive, and for the camera to be a simple point-and-shoot. All of these things, Apple does almost flawlessly. Android has hiccups and stutters, and while I’m not saying iOS never does, it’s far, far less noticeable.

Furthermore, I trust Apple with my privacy much more than I do Google—whose business model relies on selling me and my information. I’m sure Apple is not scott-free, but I think you’d be hard pressed to say Google is better in this department.

I do wish Siri was a bit better, but what it does—again—it does well. Google’s assistant has more functionality, but again this seems to be a software/AI issue, which can be fixed.

Lastly, and most subjectively, Apple’s products are just so pretty. The design and quality is unmatched. Sammy has upped its game, and the Pixel is nice, but IMO, Apple is unmatched in this department as well.

Just my 2cents!

I agree wholeheartedly. Apple products are just beautiful.

Windows phone

Seriously it comes down to personal preference. I doubt many apps you will need will only be available on one or the other. Personally I like the UI and way the App Store is set up on iOS better but, being able to use sd cards is a huge plus for the android. That, and google doesn’t slow down older phones (that I’m aware of) so if you tend to hold onto phones out of comfort that’s something to consider

Switched from Android and Windows to iOS and Mac, never looked back. It's great.

But my sister regretted it .But I love the iPhone, and I think apple does a great job with data management ,
which can help user to transfer files and manege them on computer /Mac ,
