best place to look for ms1 summer research

any tips on finding research? I get from mid june to mid august and i'm lost on where to find research.

If you know which field you're interested in researching, you could try contacting that particular interest group at your school, if it exists. They often know of any research projects going on in that field that want med student volunteers. Alternatively, start browsing your med school's web site for PIs whose research interests you, then start sending some emails. I found my grad school PI using the latter method.

I'm sure there's a dean somewhere in charge of this, bureaucracy being what it is. Go find them in their office and ask for info. January is a good time to get these kind of things set up.
