This thread is targeted to medical students or high MCAT scoring premeds in the application process:

In your opinion, what is the best preparatory material?

Let it be noted that I spoke with one surgeon who held the opinion that Kaplan provides unnecessary amounts of information for too high a price. Thoughts?

Sigh...guys... I'm just trying to start a discussion and get some opinions on the matter. Does it REALLY matter where I'm posting this?

No, but we're not going to reinvent the wheel when this topic has been discussed ad nauseum in the forum that those posts directed you to.

The Berkeley Review (TBR), with Princeton review for supplementary stuff/practice passages and Exam Krackers for verbal (EK 1001).

Kaplan is weaksauce.

Because I'm feeling generous.

I like BR and EK so far.

fair enough. I'm not looking for good advice so much as opinion, though. But, I digress. I'll try posting a better thread to start a conversation with my fellow premies and/or medical students.

I would second the recommendation for the 30+ study tips thread. That will give you hours of reading of study plans, materials used, and random advice.

...you're just trying to shut me up, aren't you?

How badly do you want neurosurgery? There's your answer.

Man, I'm just messing around. I was joking, no feelings hurt here. I know you were being helpful, and I do appreciate it, but I'm just looking for conversation at this point. I'll go to that thread when I'm once again motivated to learn something new. Now I'm just tired and want to shoot the poop.

Dude. If making new threads were the same as running track.... You would fail.
