I came across a really old post regarding the same topic. Can someone post some official link regarding the best pros programs out there?
And what all should I take into consideration when finalising the residency program?
Thank you!

There is no "official list" of best pros programs (nor any specialty programs). The best one is the one you can get into without costing you an arm and leg.

True!
But still, any top 5 that I should target? or should feel lucky getting into?

Don't let anyone talk you into settling for mediocrity. Gunners were made to gun. With that said, you should aim for Hopkins prosth program. Princeton, yale, and cornell are also definitely top 5. And, you'd be crazy not to apply to Stanford's prosth program. Good luck!

Great idea. Why not add Cleveland Clinic, MIT, Caltech, Duke and other imaginary programs to that list!

the programs that have a larger patient pool are better ( which could mean the ones in larger cities due to larger population base)
But in pros programs (or any other residency program), what matters a lot is how much hard work you want to put into learning.

I have met some crappy dentists coming out of big name programs

if you can get into any program (that preferably pays, like VA programs) and work your butt off to learn, then you are in the best program in the country bro..
forget the list !!!!!!

I've heard great things about the West LA VA program. Residents pretty much live in-house, but you will come out extremely well-trained.
