Keyword: "Dental school rankings" in the search box of SDN or preferred search engines. Or, go request that info from the bureaucrats at ADA directly. It is highly unlikely that anyone of us SDN folks knows of that info or whether that info even exists at all; if it does exists, then it is highly biased and unreliable.

You're welcome.🙂

It is my understanding that DS are not ranked. Some schools don't disclose their passing rates for the boards and this IMO should be an important factor when ranking schools. Some rankings exist but they are either blogs without official data backing their claims or mere "name" rankings. If anything, consult the ADEA Guide to DS to determine which schools are selective,etc...

Currently, reputable rankings do not exist. As lr2014 said, I would purchase the ADEA guide, read it thoroughly, determine what schools appeal to you and your stats, and apply to those.

If you are interested in research, you can check out the schools with the most funding here which gives you a general idea of the amount/quality of research taking place at each school: http://www.nidcr.nih.gov/GrantsAndF...talSchools/GrantstoDentalInstitutions2012.htm

1. DeVry University School of Dental Medicine
2. University of Phoenix School of Dentistry
3. Kaplan College of Dental Medicine
4. Donald Trump School of Dental Medicine (currently undergoing lawsuit by Obama administration)
5. Walden University School of Dentistry

Does anyone else have the complete list?

you forgot #6. Howard School of Dentistry

What is needed is a reliable ranking of dental school applicants.

Where can i buy this ADEA guide?

Research some dental schools and figure out which ones seem like they would fit you best. That is the best way.

I've always heard that Yale's School of Dental Medicine was the highest-ranked school. And they even offer a DMD, not one of those pesky DDS degrees!
