You're still in high school... Clearly didn't understand the question. I asked what schools value research and what schools value community service. Not what are the top research and primary care schools. It's ok, you'll mature over time!

I don't know why you think there's a dichotomy. The schools that like research also like to see community service, it's not a one-or-the-other. Coming from a very research-focused institution where >90% of our matriculants have research experience and everyone is required to do research in medical school, we also highly value community service.
The schools at the top of the research ranking get the most funding from NIH, the most likely to have a lot of research going on, and having research experience will help you there.
The schools that are more primary care focused might not be as research-focused and thus may not place as high an emphasis on research.
We also do not have "tier" systems of what we look for. It's not like we value research over hospital volunteering. It's the whole application.
