I have a general question about the DO schools.

What are some of the easier DO schools to get into?

What are some of the cheeper tuition schools in DO?

I dont have alot of financial aid left after my undergrad and dont want to have to worry about not being able to pay for my last year if I run out.

Any help would be useful.

I wish I knew the easiest schools to get into... I would apply there!

As for the expence... take a look at the web site www.aacom.org for that info. State schools seem to be the cheapest. May be a good idea to try and pay down your debt before applying. Government aid has a limit then you have to get private loans which can cost a lot more.

-good luck

I don't know which are the easier ones to get into...probably the new ones that opened up...like LECOM-Bradenton since they're looking for students right away. As for tuitions, I can tell you right off the bat that UNECOM is not cheap. 55K per year. 😕

1. None of the schools are easy to get into, but yeah, the new campuses are probable the least competitive if there is such a thing. Touro-NV, LECOM-FL, and PCOM-Atlanta

2. Even if your undergrad is nearly max (like mine are), the aggregate limits for graduate and medical school are much higher, so you will have enough money, and there are private loans just in case.

Lifetime limits for all Stafford Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans are:
Dependent undergraduate $23,000
Independent undergraduate $46,000 (maximum $23,000 subsidized)
Graduate/Professional $138,500 (maximum $65,500 subsidized)
Medical $189,125 (maximum $65,500 subsidized)

1. Private; Newly Chartered
2. Public (if you live in state)
3. You can take out up to approx. $189,000 total (undergrad + med)
