For a number of reasons, I have ended up applying much later in the cycle than I would have anticipated. I am a complete at a few schools, have submitted secondaries to a few, and am considering adding or replacing a few as well.
I am looking for constructive advice about schools that I could still potentially apply to where applying late may not be as much of a disadvantage compoared to other programs. The key is constructive - I know a bunch of people will want to post about how applying this late to any school is just stupid, but I do not believe this is the case based on other advice and insight I have gained from speaking to many applicants and contacting numerous admissions committees personally. With that said, I also don't feel that the whole application process is completely ethical, and know that there are plenty of schools that just want to generate revenue and aren't very honest about how your chances change. I do know of some schools already where applying late has a minimal or even no impact, but am now considering replacing a few like Louisville due to the in state preference compounding the disadvantage of appying late.
Does anyone have any insights of places you would consider. I am a Pennsylvania resident (at least that is what I'm attempting to claim), a graduate of Brigham Young University, a 31R, and a 3.87 overall with a 3.71 science. I also have some very strong and unique work, research, and leadership experiences.
Please feel free to PM me or post here with any suggestions. Also, if anyone has personal experience with adding schools or applying this late, that would be super helpful. I did receive some insight before that was super helpful with this, but would like to hear some more insight now as it is total crunch time.
