Medical Best states to live in to gain MD Admission?

I am going to be doing Americorps next year and am financially able to move to any part of the country in which I find a program that interests me. I am curious, are there certain states that are better to live in to gain residency for medical school admissions? My current state primarily has 1 medical school, while I know some other states have many. Thanks!

Don’t go to California.

Good states to go to that I know of are any states that have a public in-state medical school + Texas (cause they really love to keep their schools with mostly Texas residents.)
