i need to take a stats course and UCLA extension offers two different courses:

a stats course for pre-health professionals-seems like its just a simple stats course

the other is introduction to statistics

as a future epi student which one would be the best option?

thanks in advance

take the pre-health one or if you can, a course calle 'biostatistics'--i know ucsd extension offers that online, csun tseng college offers this, and ucla regular courses has it, biostats is a prereq for most mph programs

I've taken classes at both UCLA Extension and UC Berkeley Extension. In my opinion, Berkeley has a better program in place to make you learn the material. Berkeley's courses also have a much looser completion timeline. Most of UCLA Extension's courses are 12 weeks, right? Well, Berkeley's is 3-6 months, get it done when you can. Upside, Berkeley courses are more heavily weighted due to the semester vs quarter systems. Downside, Berkeley usually has a final proctored exam, while UCLA doesn't.

On a side note, I'm also planning on taking a basic stats class in preparation for my MPH. I was going to enroll in the Berkeley one in the next few weeks and knock it out before August. PM me if you end up enrolling.:naughty:
