Does it really matter where you take the premed courses in terms of quarter or semester hours? I am interested in knowing which way to go because semester courses are offered at odd hours of the day that are not compatible with my daily life activities. Any advice will be important.

Take the courses that fit because you need to do your best work in them. Make sure that you have the proper number of hours (3 quarters = 2 semesters) and make sure that your coursework is of sufficient depth and breadth for the Medical College Admissions Test. Usually the General Biology for Science majors etc would suffice.

If you are working and attending school, don't load up on coursework so that you don't have time to do well. It isn't good to drop courses because you took too many in the first place. If you are working full-time, you should take your coursework part-time. You can take your time because medical school isn't going to go anywhere.

quick question:
i took general bio as a premed 4years ago and i've taken bio I: cell/molecular bio and bio II: ecology and organisms. i've taken micro, pathopys, and physiology w/ anatomy. I was thinking of taking a 300 level molecular and cell bio next semester before i take the mcat. is that necessary or should i take biochem instead? Can I just go ahead and take the mcat without these 2 upper level courses?

You are fine without taking them. But, they might help on the MCAT; however, most the stuff needed can be got out the passage.
