Hey everyone, I was just wondering what's the best and most efficient way to send Letters of recommendation into D.O. schools. Does everyone usually go through their pre health advisers, or do they just use interfolio?

Yup. Letter writers only need to write one letter, you can go green by having them upload the document directly into the servers and then Interfolio electronically delivers them to most schools. The only one who didn't have an electronic delivery reception was TUCOM-CA. And at $6 per school, you can't go wrong.

Have your adviser put your letters into Interfolio. This gives you an advantage. You still wave your right read your letters, but your adviser can review them for you and recommend which letters seem to be the best (or what ones to avoid).

I wish AACOMAS would gather my LoRs so I wouldn't have to spend so much $$ sending from Interfolio =/

$6/school.....not that bad IMHO

But yes, it would be nice if they would collect letters like AMCAS does.

Given that Interfolio is essentially our only convenient solution for LORs, it's actually a pretty darn good system. I like it.

Flat rate $6 for each school via electronic deliveries for however many letters you wish to send, they don't charge by the document. Also, if you have already electronically sent a letter to a particular school this cycle and want to send more LORs to that school, they don't re-charge you. I found this out just now after sending/adding 20 letters. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

I agree that Interfolio is the way to go. I applied late last cycle to a few schools and it was a pain to give my letter writers a bunch of different addresses. In my opinion Interfolio is great...and they keep the letters for more than a year if you unfortunately need them again.

Interfolio is the only way to go. Don't be cheap, do it right and save yourself the hassle. $6/school is not even a drop in the bucket, it's like one h20 molecule in the bucket. You're going to be $100ks in debt by the time you're out of med school.

Not true. $2 extra if it exceeds 10 pages.

With AACOMAS, I need to send it 10 times to 10 schools...
while with AMCAS, I only need to send it once.
