With the 12/14 deadline approaching I know I need to narrow done to one school. Is there a proper way to turn down an acceptance? Should I email the school or just withdraw on the portal?

Do as @Mr.Smile12 advised and if you have to send an email, keep it short and sweet. Don't get into your reasons for declining the acceptance or say which school you ended up picking. Just politely decline and thank the school for interviewing you.
