Please, from those who have taken shelf, I would love some insight

IM shelf very soon

have limited hrs to study

resources have last 100 questions in back of NEW step up to medicine

back of book 75 questions of older version of boards and wards book

have wikipedia test prep for step 2, can just select big five systems i believe to make yeild higher, cardio, lung, renal, GI, and endo?

i was planning on buying uworld step 2 soon anyway, so can buy tonight, adn do as many IM questions as possible before AM, but doubt will finish

what is best way to maximize score, what is highest yield way to go in limited time. I am firm believer that steepest learning curve is in the beginning!, and there is a small group of facts that are baseline always tested as baseline, so just trying to access what is highest yeild, NO FLUFF source for shelves u guys have seen

i have other wards books, like fa and stuff, but im focusing on step 2 material bc i believe im shelf will be more reflective of IM on step 2 than these WARD/ clerkship essentials books?

so qbank it? or 100 q at back of step up?

I don't understand this. You've done nothing the whole rotation, and now you want to know how to prep in the next 12 hrs?

obviously ive not done nothing and i know u cant learn everything

im not trying to ace the shelf

just asking for best source

like i dont want to do the 75 q at end of boards and wards or 100 q at end of step up to medicine if you guys already know that one of them are not MOST SIMILAR to IM SHELF QUESTIONS

wiki questions

or uw questions for step 2, like what is most similar to IM SHELF

ive never taken a shelf before so thought id ask people whove taken it

mroe than 1000 if I remember correctly
just start chugging and u might be able to do 300-500 in 12hrs
go at it

i feel dumb for not asking this first time

i guess what im trying to say

is there anything for the IM SHELF

comparable to the LAST RAPID REVIEW PAGES AND HY IMAGES SECTION OF FA for STEP 1 you know, where u go over it right before test, and its super high yeild answers on so many questions

I think you need Lithium. That's my helpful input.

Step 2 secrets has decent sections for IM review. I would look at Cardiac, Pulmonary, GI and Nephro as the big sections on the test.

Good luck.

I am not sure if I understood your first post correctly. I hope I didn't. If you really had only 12 hours to study, this piece of advice might be a little too late...

MKSAP for students is the most high yield resource for the IM shelf, IMHO. If you can get your hands on that in time to do some of the questions, it would be useful.

Good luck.

I personally thought UW questions were the closest thing I saw to actual IM shelf questions. MKSAP were too easy.

He typed like a squirrel drunk on cocaine. Or something.
