I bought a pair of danskos not the professionals but a very similar style. I've only had them for four months but now my feet are starting to hurt again. Do these shoes normally wear out so fast? They are expensive to only last that long. Anyone else have this problem? What shoes do y'all recommend? I'd prefer to not have to buy $120 pair of shoes every four months.

I know there used to be a thread on shoes but I thought a new updated one would be helpful.

Did you wear them every day? Bad move. You should only wear each pair every other day. Shoes need a day to dry out and recover. In my opinion the professionals are the better shoes. They're made for you to be on your feet all day.

Danskos, BTW, are now made in China. Sanitas are made in the original factories where Danskos used to be made. I find them more like the old Dansko shoe we all fell in love with. The new Danskos are definitely not as well made.

Is there any particular style of Sanitas that are the best? And yes now after to talking with some nurses I realize I should have 2 pairs of shoes to alternate between... oops I definitely haven't been doing that.

I like Sanita Professionals. The Sanitas are made with the original lasts (the shoe molds) used for the original Danskos. Thus, the Sanita Professionals are made for being on your feet all day.

They also have ones with gel insoles, but I found they didn't fit quite right for me. Instep too short. And I didn't find the insole as comfortable as the Professional shoe.
