When asked for product after beta emission + Pi ( atomic # 82 ,, mass 207)

Pi+beta --> ?? ( is it 83 or 82?? )
I know that beta is +1or -1 the atomic # but how do you know when is it a +1 or -1

If doesn't specify plus or minus decay, it is usually taken as an electron emission. A positron emission would be a plus decay on the other hand.

when its not specified, an electron emission means it would be -1??

Whats a positron emission ? proton ?
