Better to wait until MCAT retake or apply right away?

I got a 23 on my old MCAT from 2 years ago. I don't want to be auto-rejected from schools and I'm planning on taking my MCAT again on 9/01. I have been doing a lot better on my practice exams and I'm aiming for at least a 510 (but my goal is a 515). Will schools auto-reject even if they see that I am retaking my MCAT, or should I wait until September to submit my application?

If you have a throw away school you could submit it to them so everything is verified then add the other school once you add your new MCAT.

Thanks for your feedback! Might be a stupid question, but there's no way to ask schools to place your app on hold until your scores come in, right?

I wouldn't start asking for special treatment yet. I got autorejected from 2 schools because I submitted secondaries a week before my retake came in and I had a 23 also. I wish I had just waited. It only takes like two days for aacomas to get your MCAT anyway.

Very true, good point. I think I'm just more worried about submitting my app so late but I guess it's better than getting auto-rejected!
