Hey guys I just wanted to give you all a heads up. I was looking on INFOSOURCE and realized that my application at some of the schools were still incomplete. Well I know infosourse is sometimes behind on their ish, but i proceeded to check with UNLV anyways. Well aparantly UNLV had my application as incomplete as well and told me it was because one of my letters of recommendation was not considered a "science" course. UNLV requires 2 letters of recommendation to be from a science proffessor. UNLV however had mistakenly considered one of my letters of recommendation as a non-science letter, which is why my application status was on hold. Its sad because my application has been on hold for 1 month due to this mistake 🙁 I recommend if infosource says your application is on hold that you all call the respective schools and ensure that they have not made a mistake like this. If I didn't follow up on this, who knows how much longer my application would have been on hold 🙁

I had the exact same problem with UNLV last year as well. I was an instate resident and personally hand delivered my secondary app in October, and verified with the secretary that my file was complete. I then called in november to check on the status of my file and they told me that my file was placed on hold, because I was missing a science LOR. I then explained that everything was in the file, they reviewed it and acknowledged that my file was indeed complete. I thought that the matter was settled. In December ( a couple of weeks later) I received and invitation in the mail to interview, but the soonest interview date that they had was at the end of Feb. By the time I interviewed UNLV was only interviewing for the waitlist, because the class was already full. I was an instate resident and has a Dat AA of 20 and a GPA of 3.6 , My stats are way above the instate average, which should have made me a shoe in for a slot at UNLV. however all they could do was place me on the waitlist. Luckily I had other options to choose from. Bottom line FOLLOW UP!!!!!!!

whew, good advice! I too, checked with schools today to find out my application was incomplete at a couple places, i immediately took care of the situation but i wish i had acted to check my status sooner.
