I'd say generally not a problem if you take off your glasses; I can get into pretty sharp focus sans specs with my scope. I do have pretty a light prescription (-2.00 or something in both eyes). It does not adjust for astigmatism though. So my views are clear but a tiny bit askew. You can apparently get eyepieces (at what cost?) that accommodate glasses.

Not sure how things would work with multifocal contact lenses, however.
