PharmCas does not have grade forgiveness, but what about the schools you are applying to?

What if they have grade forgiveness..
do they recalculate GPAs, or do they just go by the GPA on pharmcas

All of the schools I applied to recalculated my GPAs using their own formulas

Don't give up hope. I know for Pacific U-Oregon, they ask you to calculate your GPA for the last 45 credits that you have and they use that as one of the deciding factors in terms of you getting an interview. A lot of schools like to see progress so don't give up just yet.

hey man appreciate the help! my number 1 rule in life is "keep trying even if it makes ppl think ur stupid" ahahah always lived by that so no worries of giving up. I just wanna confirm that some pharmcas schools throw away ur app cuz the PHARMCAS gpa is below limits instead of recalculating

and to phat head, can u list like maybe just one school that does this??

Is your cum PharmCAS GPA below 2.7? Even though they have their own methods for calculating the GPA, they do look at the PharmCAS ones as well.

It's my understanding that the majority of schools recalculate GPAs. At least the more established institutions do.

well its hard to explain. I havn't submitted my transcripts to pharmcas yet so it will be a while before i recieved my calculated pharmcas GPA. the problem is I make As and Bs in A&P, biochem, and ochem, and most of my other science calsses, the problem?? Pchem and inorganic and all these Non science classes blew my GPA up the ass.. thats why my cum GPA is so low. (ahah I said cum, sry no homo).

anyways, i wish they looked at ur science GPA more rather than ur overall to determine the damn cutoff.

NOTE: to all of you who havnt experienced the sheer rape of Physical chemistry, it aint a free lunch:boom:

It means all three of those catagories should be above 2.7 respectively.
