What is the 'big red kaplan book'?

How do you rate it?

Its their comprehensive review book.

I'd say its fair; it was my main study tool in April, and I got killed. It costs about 60 bucks in most stores.

Its only good if you use it in conjunction with TEXTBOOKS. Its so important to get some of those details that are not in the red book.

My Kaplan comp review book is green, is that normal?

It covers a lot about the sciences and verbal, but not much on writing. Which might be why I got an L.

I'd recommend buying the EK package from walmart.com-- cheapest I've seen.

I had the Kaplan book. I'd go with EK instead.
