Biggest programs with most non-designated prelim spots

I have resources as well. 😉

The reason I ask is because I am familiar with programs that have more surgical nondesignated prelims than those you listed. I wasn't sure if you were referencing Prelim IM programs. UTSW and Baylor have large programs but UF not particularly so.

That was mighty helpful. Certainly did not expect these programs.

I listed Florida because it seems that they consistently have unfilled positions, and that is what one should look at. But I will recheck our info on Shands.

By the way, to those not matching: it is brutal, but taking a non-designated slot does allow you a possible path to categorical. Also, I know of one doc who did two straight non-designated preliminaries and then over ten years worked in several EDs. He then went back and paid his way through a Psych residency at Southwestern.
