Binding on the huge Robbins

I remember reading some post about making the massive version of Robbins more portable but Im having trouble finding it. Could anyone fill me in on what you did for rebinding.

um, I just bought a baby robbins for the road and used the big one at home (they also have them in the library for when you're at school). Why would you destroy this beautiful book?

Hi there,
I removed the hard back covers (with a scalpel). I then took what was left to Kinko's, had them cut the binding glue off and punch holes in the pages. I clipped these into a couple of binders and removed only the sheets that I needed or was reading. I did this with most of my text books and class syllabi except Moore's Clinical Anatomy (I tore out the pages here).

My Sabiston surgery text is now in three binders and I carry chapter pages in my lab coat pocket.

Hi there,
About $3 back in 2000. I am sure that inflation has increased the price now. Just be sure to cut the hardback off first or the price is higher.

another option if you want to pay for it is to have them spiral bind each section, it's like $4 per binding with a hard cover and back, but it might be worth it to break the size down a little bit.

at UNE they give us a list of diseases with objectives about them, so I printed out a big 100+ page document for each system and had them spiral bind it, helps keep things organized.
