Hey I am taking the PCAT in Jan. I am a little worried about the Bio section. Does anybody remember any key concepts from the time they took it. I wouldn't mind narrowing down what I need to study. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, it covers a large range of stuff. I didn't study any zoology or plant biology at all, thinking it was irrelevant... but there were some questions relating to both. My advice is to use some sort of general bio review book and read through a couple chapters every day, making note of anything you didn't know or understand. If you notice big gaps in your knowledge, get more in depth in that subject. I kept a notebook with all the chem and bio I didn't know, and reviewed that notebook a few days before the exam.

Most of the concepts come from a general biology course for science majors and/or cell biology. There are a few questions in microbiology, A/P, genetics, etc, but those don't generally require actually taking those courses to answer those questions.

A good general biology textbook with some decent in-depth treatment of the major biology courses can be good prep for the PCAT biology section.

Honestly, I thought the bio section was by far the easiest. I was anticipating complex questions about cellular processes and nitty gritty details pertaining to the human body. This just wasn't the case. The bulk of this section was about general cell concepts, reproduction, animal classifications (kindom, phylums, etc), environmental questions, and some anatomy/physiology. Maybe a tad bit of basic genetics on top. It really wasn't too bad. I would study much more for chemistry than bio. Much of it was intuitive and easy to guess if the exact answer wasn't certainly known. Good luck.
