which feature is not involved in human DNA replication?
a) Okasaki fragments
b) the creation of primers
c) continuous DNA replication
d) the need for RNA synthesis
 
a) Okasaki fragments are the fragments that happen on the lagging strand of DNA.

b.) You need to lay down a primer in order for DNA to start synthesizing.

c.) Do they mean like 1 is a lagging strand and the other is continuously replicated?

d.) You don't need RNA except for the the primers as in choice B.

I think the answer is D?

That question is not clear and answer choices are ambiguous..

Need for RNA synthesis could be interpreted as the DNA is required for mRNA synthesis...

What situation is answer choice D talking about?'

Above 3, A,B,C are clearly happening in Human DNA, D, I'm not sure.. so according to the rule of elimination, D is the answer, at least there is choice E saying, All the above. Then I will be like hum............ Wait a minute..

C is correct...i would definitely agree.

The leading strand of DNA replication is continuous, but the lagging strand is discontinuous. So DNA replication as a whole is referred to as semi-discontious, and the manor in which it replicates is semi-conservative. The rna synthesis is without a doubt needed for DNA replication as RNA primers are needed for dna pol to do its job.
