Does anyone have a good resource for doing biochem problems? This and molecular bio are definitely my weak areas. I have done everything in Kaplan QBank and am saving UWorld to test myself in a random mode, so I don't want to do any of the biochem problems in that by subject.

I perused through Pretest Biochem in the bookstore, but really wasn't a fan. Any suggestions? I was told that USMLE Consult was pretty good, but I am hesitant to buy another qbank just for biochem.

Would appreciate your advice.
Thanks.

Rapid Review Biochem comes with two practice tests in the back and a CD with another 200 or so more (my book was a few years old so it may be online access questions now). I thought they were great: a little detailed but they cover almost everything.

You probably already know that when you get to the USMLEWorld questions you should know them cold. I thought they were the most similar to the actual exam. Kaplan questions were too picky...you definitely don't need to know every single glycogen storage disease or porphyria.

I thought one wasn't supposed to use USMLE World to "test" oneself, but rather to LEARN; whereas the NBMEs are to be used to "test"/"assess" one's progress.

This was my understanding based on peoples' posts on this message board.

i am using usmleworld to learn, but i'd rather not do problems in usmle world in subject mode. i am doing cumulative problems with all the subjects. by doing it this way, i am able to review all subjects each day, and learn about ones i haven't gone over in firstaid. i use kaplan to test myself in a subject based format. so far this method has been working for me.

however, i am weak in biochem/molecular bio, hence i am looking for extra problems to do in a subject based format.

would appreciate it if anyone has any good suggestions or experience with usmleconsult biochem or usmlerx biochem.

thanks.
