Cali residents:
i have to take biochem this summer and wanted to see what you guys thought. i have 2 options that i would like to chose from, ucla and ucdavis. ucla's class is 4 units and ucdavis class is 3 units. i am required to take at least 3 units. ucla is structure and function based class where as ucdavis is metabolic pathways (krebs, glycolysis, protein syn, etc etc). i live in so cal, but i dont mind going up north for the class if i have to. what have you guys heard about both ucla and ucd's biochem classes? i'm not sure who is teaching it at ucla but in my schedule it says "DO, T.Q" as instructor. at ucdavis the prof is segel. i dont know how much of a difference the extra unit at ucla is going to make in summer, but i do know that chem is not my most fav stuff in the world. do you guys think the one extra unit is going to be a lot more work at ucla? are the classes at ucla generally harder ?
any input will be much appreciated! thanks guys.
