I'm trying to decide whether to take Biochemistry Lab. Does anyone know if the lab is REQUIRED for any dental schools? I don't want to shoot myself if the foot by not taking it...but REALLY don't want to take it if it is not necessary. Thanks!
Some schools do require Biochem lab (i.e. Oregon and Florida) but most don't. I'd suggest you just look on the website of the schools you have applied to (or will apply to).

Check the school you are looking at under their pre-reqs. Some schools require you to have 4 credit hours of biochem (4 credits means this class has a lab) and other schools only require 3. I believe Pittsburgh is one of the school's where you need 4 credit hours of biochem. There are others too.

This isn't always true. Basic biochemistry at the university I went to is 4 credits without lab (in NY), as is Biochemistry at my state's university (hawaii). So I would check directly with admissions of a school if they require the lab regardless of the credit number they require (like UF, which doesn't specify).
