Non-Traditional Student Seeking Clarification on Biochemistry Course.

Will be using biochemistry to replace 2nd semester ochem and will respectively be applying to schools who allow this replacement.

As far as admissions goes is the only acceptable biochemistry course biochemistry 1 or higher and not the Health science biochemistry?

I'm currently taking the Health science biochemistry as a refresher and then planning on taking biochemistry 1 if necessary.

Generally, a biochem course taught in the chemistry or bio department is what they're looking for.

Probably won't be accepted, as Health Science courses are intended for nurses and those wanting to go into healthcare administrative services.

I'd take Biochem just to be safe. Those health science classes tend to be looked at as watered down versions for allied health fields. Since most schools are starting to require Biochem, I wouldn't take any chances.
