Biochemistry Step 1

Does anyone know what would be a good resource to use for biochem on step 1? Will FA be enough. I searched for a similar thread but everything was 3 years or older....any opinion is appreciated.

if you had a good understanding during MS1, FA and UW is enough.

I got an 84 in the class...not really a great understanding but decent. The sucky thing is I don't remember much stuff from third year. What would you recommend?

I couldn't follow the diagrams in FA in a meaningful way without some kind of narrative type book, so I pulled out the good 'ole Lippincott and used it.

I dedicated a good 3-4 days just getting through that because I remembered next to nothing.

if you can lay your hands on the kaplan biochem lecture notes go with that, if not do as jolie posted above

Thanks guys. What are your views on the Rapid Review Biochem? I saw that in the old threads, wasn't sure if it was good for Step 1. I can't get my hands on any Kaplan stuff. I am thinking of getting Lippincott now since both of you give it your seal of approval.

I'm sure you could get a used one pretty cheap on Amazon.

Rapid Review Biochem was amazing! I used it along with Lippincott while I was doing the course. It never failed me.

As for the Step 1, I've been using FA, UW and I watched the Pass Program biochem video. If you can get that video, it was a pretty good refresher. I took the Kaplan course and have the book but I wasn't too fond of it.
