Hi all,

Before you flame me--I used the search engine, but I couldn't figure out which key words to use and instead got a bunch of "IS BIOCHEMISTRY HARD?!" thrads.

Looking at the requirements for pharmacy school, Biochemistry is often listed as one of the required courses. However, they do not specify the Biochemistry course. There are two Biochemistry courses offered by my college-- one for biology majors (which most pre-med students are taking) and one for biochemistry majors (which is harder).

Do pharmacy schools care which BCH class I take?

Agreed, I would contact the school's admissions office. Which school(s) are you applying to that require(s) biochemistry, if I may ask?

Definitely ask the school about it, but even if they say that the easier class is fine you may want to think about taking biochem for majors in order to prepare yourself more adequately for pharmacy school. Unless your course load will already be pretty intense, that is!
