Hey all,

I have an interview next week at a school known for asking ethical questions. I'm not going to bust my head reading beforehand, but I thought it may be helpful to me and others to make a list of ethical topics; A list one could at least take a glance at and mentally review their stance so its not a shock in an interview.

I'll start, please add to the list if you think of something:

Human Cloning (leading to fetal stage and beyond)
Human Tissue Cloning (pre-fetal stage)
Organ Transplantation (Human-Human, Animal-Human, Artificial)
Stem Cell Research
In-Vitro Fertilization
Cyrogenics
Surrogate Motherhood
Abortion and RU-486
Euthanasia

most of these questions reduce down to a few basic principles...

do you think life is valuable in itself, or as a means to enjoy other things?

do you think the ends justify the means?

do you distinguish between a person, a human being, and a potential person?

i hope this is a good starting point for you

are you gonna be at georgetown mike? I know they ask a lot of bioethical questions....
