bioinformatics for doctors

Hi,
I have completed med school recently. I want to pursue bioinformatics MS programs in US. Are doctors capable of/eligible for pursuing that? I have recently takedn TOEFL and GRE . scored 102 in TOEFL and 312 in GRE.
Also, what about biotechnology and other allied health careers? MPH doesn't have great paying jobs afterwards

are you saying you didn't get into residency and are working a backup plan, or did you complete a residency and just like to do something else? (doctors can go apply to almost any program they want, the question is if it's worth it to them)

Didnt get good scores in usmles and didnt get matched.. so looking for alternatives.
