when doese the oogenesis actually complete in human?
A) immidiately after birth
B) after puberty
C) after secondary oocyte realses in oviduct
D) just after penetration by sperm
E) before zygote enters in uteres

I would choose that one but i was stuck between D and E, i think E is after cleavage takes place and that prob wouldnt occur during 2nd oogenesis...

Sperm has to fertilize the egg in order for meiosis II to occur. And penetration doesn't necessarily mean that the sperm has fertilized the egg. I think the wordings are trying to trick us! but not sure though.

I see, you were trying to be tricky man. This is an old trick😉

yea thats why i was not sure, but doesnt the entrance of the zygote into the uterus basically mean its already formed into a blastocyte because of the trophoblast that needs to adhere to the endometrium...

it says before it enters uterus....

see if the question had said after sperm penetrates secondary oocyte then that would have been answer.....

you could be right...may be I am just thinking too much! but you know how some of the bio questions are...play trick on us!!!

it is after penetration. Once a sperm penetrates a sec. oocyte, the sec oocyte which has stopped at metaphase II starts completeing the second Meiotic divisoin, which results in the ovum. Later another sperm penetrates to fuse with the zygote. HOwever this is not related to oogenesis anymore. Got it?

right but oogenesis is completed after first sperm penetrates the secondary oocyte right?

yup. So what is the "BUT" for?
The answer is definitely NOT E misstoothy. I mean, E is far after the completion of oogenesis. It's about the time we have blastula. A,B and C are wrong.
D sounded like the correct answer to me at the first instance, and I'm staying with it fo shizzle!

I got 5 on D! 2nd meiotic division doesn't occur until reproductive age and after fertilization.

I am so damnn lostt................

Danny post the answer plzzzzzzz

the answer is E because stupid word " just" in D answer. sperm trigers oogenesis and will take a while for being complete. 😡

THATS BS!!!!! how is that possible!!!

Im telling you the DAT is not this anal on their words, this must be from some ridiculous test prep book

Is this an achiever test, man? SO wrong!
I mean if the answer is "before zygote enters in uteres", it means that the oogenesis is not complete yet after the formation of zygote in the fallopian tube [while we know it IS]

P.S Whoever desinged this test must be a psycho!:d

Am I wrong or am I right,

If the question says before entering the uterus, that means its about to attach to the endometrium in the uterus meaning that it HAS already gone through cleavage steps and probably onto the blastula stage where the trophoblast is forming therefore how can you have the 2nd oocyte discard the polar body when your in blastula stage, doesnt make sense to me...it discards it in early cleavage...

i guess.... "JUST" . I guess fertilization takes some time to occur. And a zygote is the fertilization of the egg by the sperm, which is the maturation of the oogensis ---ahhh tricky!

----"just", taste of my own medicine after I tried to trick you guys with my other test.

where did you get this question from Danny?

this question was from A&P course in my friend's Note. I agree about bad wording in this question, but IMO, the D is not correct, and explanation is right about trigering, I argued with my friend and what he said was, "after penetration it takes time for whole process and it will be in oviduct".

I thought the 2nd meiotic division / oogensis maturation occurs in the fallopian tube after ovulation- but only if the 2ndary oocyte is fertilized--penetrated by a sperm.

Yeah im thinking this is not how the actual test will be. That sounds like a prof that said it specifically in lecture and wanted people to remember it.
