biomedical engineering a good major before pharmacy school?

I would like to become a pharmacist, and have heard that I should get a bachelors degree before going for a pharmd. I am a high school senior. I want to major in something that can directly help me get into pharmacy school,yet offer a good job if i decide not to go to said pharm school. I was thinking of biomedical engineering? Not sure if it would align with pre reqs for pharmd or not. If not this major, what should i do? I'd rather not major in bio or Chem because those majors won't get you a good job.

I'd say if you want something to help you get into pharm school, do something like biochem or chemistry but BME is good too. Idk how Pharm schools like their applicants, but if a high GPA is a must for Pharm school, make sure you are able to do BME while maintaining a high GPA. good luck

A BS in BME probably won't get you a job (unless you get a Masters or do internships).

Chemical Engineering sounds good though 🙂
I'm assuming you're good at math and physics.
