For those who have taken this class, is this class an "easy A"? It is a 300 level course at my institution, but it doesn't sound to me like it would be particularly challenging. Thoughts?

I didn't think it was bad at my university. In fact, I loved the class. I only got a B+, since that was the only grade I could ever get on a paper or test. I don't know why. I hate when professors write, "Best paper I read" and then give a B+ and other people get As. haha

I don't know about your university, but mine had us read about 35 pages a night.

Its in essence a philosophy and rhetoric course. There's a lot of reading and writing involved, and because of the subjectivity of the topics you'll be covering, there's a lot of room for the teacher to grade the way they want. Some teachers may give As for well thought out arguments, others may reserve As for only the most brilliant and insightful essays. I wouldn't take it for an "easy A" but it think it will be interesting and you'll learn a lot
