Hey everyone! I am currently a student in the Barry BMS program and will be applying to dental school this cycle. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

I am looking into maybe going into a Master's program in order to improve my GPA. I saw Barry University and am pretty interested in their program, I'm just concerned cost-wise overall with the price of the BMS + DDS degrees. Is likely that if you do well in the program that you can have an opportunity to receive scholarships to dental school? I've heard of students receiving them coming straight from undergrad but I've never heard it from students who have completed Masters.

Would you recommend it? which classes do you recommend taking? which classes should be avoided? how are the professors?

I recommend the program. There are a number of course classes that you must take. But, you choose 2 electives. It would all depend on your interests as I believe and have heard all the electives are very fair.

There are opportunities for scholarships with the master’s. I have many friends that were accepted this cycle that have scholarships from a few different schools. I would say keeping your gpa as close to 4.0 and having 21/22+ on the DAT gives you a great shot a scholarships
