If I ever need to get a biostatistics book for medical school, does anyone have suggestions for good ones? I am referring to one that would discuss the basics so that I would have a "resource book".

I currently have Fundamentals of Biostatistics by Bernard Rosner but I do not think it is written very well.

Hi there,

The Rosner book is quite good in that it covers most of the topics found in an intro graduate biostats course, the examples they use are clinical, and they provide examples as well as answers for specific problems. As an alternate you might want to try "Basic Statistics for the Health Sciences", which reads like a high school text or the purple biostats text by Pagano. (Sorry, can't remember its title.)

Cheers,
Kirsteen
