Doesn't anyone study bipolar disorder anymore?

I am really interested in studying mania and bipolar depression in grad school. I'm pretty sure i know what i'd like to study --> but i cannot seem to find anyone that even looks at bipolar disorder, let alone studies what i'd like to study. All studies going on are through medical schools/private companies and are clinical trials.

Sheri Johnson, UMiami
Helen Verdeli, Columbia

That's all I've found.

Anyone else interested in studying bipolar disorder and running across the same problem?
Any advice?

I'm not going into bipolar research, but I go to UNC-Chapel Hill and know that Eric Youngstrom does child and adolescent bipolar research here. Good luck!

ed craighead - emory (may not take students)
lauren alloy - temple
erin mclure-tone - ga state

may be some more too....

Also, don't rule out medical faculty.

Some have joint appointments and take psychology students.

I work with a professor whose primary appointment is oncology.

wow.... i thought i had looked pretty hard but i guess i was wrong!

thank you so much for your help everyone!

anyone else on here interested in bipolar disorder?
