So am I the only one who thought that Step II of the COMLEX was so crappy? Not only were teh X-rays of such poor quality (the overhead lights drowned out any detail that I could try to get)... but the questions had such little information. Its like:

43. A patient comes in with abdominal pain.

A. Appendicitis
B. Perforated Ulcer
C. hahahaha

although I'm joking, that's what it felt like...

Anyone out there feel my pain? 😛

EKGs😕 😕 😕
they were not that bad but I was not expecting so many

see you in May

I feel your pain. The questions were very vague. Not to mention the HMO and jurisprudence questions. Ridiculous!!

Yeah man what was up with those EKGs... you're right they weren't that bad, but what was up with the one with the limb leads that were reversed. That was just a low blow. But thankfully none of the other answer choices fit. That's the great thing about multiple choice EKGs... (compared to real life)... atleast you can check what it is supposed to be, and if its not a LBBB, well, obviously that's not the answer. *sigh* I won't be able to do that when I start my EM residency...

Bone-
You're right... those answers were un-f'ing-believably vague. Did you get that question about this pregnant chick that had pruritus? And the answer choices were like Cholestasis of pregnany OR pruritus gravidarum. Well, gee, PG is caused by COP... so which do you want?!?!?!?

Ugh. Well, only 7 weeks and 6 days left until scores.

My favorite was the question about the EMT bypass act. What the heck was that about? I agree with all of you that the NBOME must step up to write better questions and to find better test topics.

I remember holding up the test booklet to look for lung markings for the X ray questions, but I was only able to see the fine dots used to make the pictures.
