good question.....i know that embryo is in the inner cells....is that then same thing as a zygote? stupid question i know...can some1 help me on that

zygote : sperm+egg

then it divides
morula -> goes to uterine wall -> becomes a blastula-> becomes a gastula
*basically these are just names for the zygote @ different stages.

first division in 32 hours, 2nd in 60 hours (4cells), 3rd in 72 hours (8)
by the 4th day it enters uterine wall. and you get 3 germ layers, meso/endo/ecto.

bastocyst has 3 types of cells, that impregnate the endometrium and thats where you get vasculation of the embryo from.

i just reviewed this a few days ago while studying, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

I think blastocyst is the last stage before the zygote actually becomes an embryo.
