Recently, I became blinded as a result of a mishap with a bottle of mountain dew. Anyways, I still want to meet my childhood dream of becoming a surgeon. What kind of things should I do in order to prepare myself to be a blind surgeon? Is a residency program likely to accept me despite my handicaps?
Under ADA, I have the RIGHT to receive reasonable accomodation for my disability, so I won't take no for an answer!
I'm afraid, though, that if I made an error because I was blind and killed someone, I would lose my medical license. That is so unfair, so maybe I shouldn't do this.
And don't hate on me, just because I'm blind doesn't mean I'm not a human being, too.
