Quick question... If you write medical blog posts for a website (reviewed by physicians in the field), does it count as some sort of publication when applying for residency? Or is it just a volunteer activity?

It sounds like it is equatable to writing a column in the newspaper. Unless the website is uptodate or something similar. Even the later isn't really a scientific publication.

I think it would be acceptable to include under the non-peer-reviewed section of ERAS. Plenty of physicians put that sort of thing on their CV.
