No way! I have a blue one and I know other people who have various colors. For me, black is too boring. Get what makes you happy!

Mine's blue because that's the only color the Econobrand fine line of scopes came in-these were half the price of the scopes replete with glitter, go figure!!
note: the Econosphyg is an especially astounding deal

Mine's hunter green, but remember to buy based on quality not shiny glitter. Ugly with good acoustics is better than pretty and unable to hear breath sounds or a iii/vi murmur -- i.e. obvious -- murmur.

My first was bright blue, littman lightweight. Drew alot of admiration in the hospital as everybody had maroon ones. My cardio III is navy which isnt as distinctive but still a nice colour
